I went home this weekend and decided to call my friends to my place coz my parents were out to some relatives place...
As usual...we dint have anything to do..and started looking for Options...
Some of them were... "Lets Go to some Cafe and Play CS.", "Lets watch some movie..", "Lets play Scotland Yard", "Lets play UNO", "Lets play cards...bahut dino se Rami aur Kaali ki tidi nahi khela yaar...ya fir Poker khelenge"
Then I started wondering and suddenly I came up with "Chalo Business khelte hain!!"
None of them supported the statement and they started with .."Chalo apne apne ghar chalte hain...aaj toh ye Pagal ho gaya hai .."
But then...they all agreed ..... as mine was the only place available for the afternoon..So it was My Way...no Highway option...LOL...
We were 6 and we formed the teams.
The game started at 2:30 PM and because we have been playing it since i was 5... I knew that there has to be some time limit set for the game. The game was decided to be terminated at exactly 5:15 PM.
We all have almost all the rules mugged up....
the ones like "If you go to jail...what you need to do ..." and what were the prices of all the costly tickets...like Air India, Railways, Bombay, Chennai, Bangalore....and...infact even the No-House and ONE House Rents of them on the tip of our tongue.( I know we cant have houses in Air India and Railways..LOL)
We started playing....I and Chinmay were in one team, Rohit and Sunny in another and Shivam and Apoorva in the other. (Around 1 year back, Rohit, Sunny, Shivam and Apoorva had played the game...and Shivam and Apoorva had won...so this time...Shivam and Apoorva were the "Defending Champions"...)
All of us knew all the tips and tricks...and had become subject matter experts by this time...
We knew that one should collect as many tickets as possible in the beginning....bhoy...U'd be on cloud nine if u get 3 tickets of any one color (PINK,RED, BLUE, GREEN OR YELLOW)...coz incase you have 3...the rents would double. (Incase you have all the 5 tickets of any color, the rents would triple).
Anyways, we just started buying as many tickets as possible....
staying away from community chest, income tax and chance....the game stays boring in the first hour...coz everyone justs throws the dice, buys tickets and keeps a score of the number of tickets ... (we just buy the place where ever we land... and then keep the place on Mortgage...incase we get out of money...)
Slowly the game started showing its true colors.... Sunny and Rohit had built 3 houses at Srinagar(Yellow)...and so....the rent there was around 7k...and all the 4 of us...were caught in the trap ...atleast once...
Only Chinmay had the luck of coming to three Red Cities...and we (me and Chinmay) were the proud owners of 3 Red tickets...We screamed so loudly...and mocked others (when we got the 3rd Red Ticket - Bombay)...that tears started rolling down my eyes...
at 4:45PM:
Shivam: " Arey yaar....ye game toh koi nahi jeet payega.... %@#$%@#.....isme paise Rohit aur Sunny k pass jyada hain....Tickets kunal aur Chinmay k pass...aur Ghar hamare pass...."
We decided the winner base on 3 criterias :
a. the number of tickets
b. the amount of money
c. the number of houses
I and Chinmay had 13 tickets.... Rohit and Sunny had around 27k in cash.... while Shivam and Apoorva had 15 houses ...
The trick after the first half of the game is over...is that incase you land up in the jail...you should miss 3 chances instead of paying 500 Rs...
coz anyways...when your roaming around u'd be landing on other cities and would end up paying a large amount of money...if you end up on a city with a hotel.. :P
While neither me nor chinmay were lucky enough to land in jail..Shivam really got lucky....and the bastard started jumping around on the sofa when he landed in jail.He decided to miss 3 chances instead of paying 500 Rs.
Time: 5:15 PM..
No more games to play...just hardcore counting of money....where Rohit and Sunny won by a huge margin...(they had 30K..while the second highest was 21K)....
We knew that we dont need to count the tickets...neways...I and Chinmay had won in the tickets...fair and square... we had 13 Tickets. (2nd highest were 12).
In Houses... Apoorva and Shivam had 16 houses on board...while Rohit and Sunny had only 7...then a Miracle Happened(Let me once again thank God for this Miracle..)....they started counting our Houses...and LO!BEHOLD!!...we had 17.Both Me and Chinmay couldn't believe our Eyes....our Joys knew no boundaries...
Someone has said.."What you think is a white horse in the park could be a zebra synchronised with the railings"
We Yelled...Screamed...Danced...

"Ye Sunny ki Dice itni acchi kaise aati hai?"
"Har kutte ka Din aata hai Saale..."
"Yahan kya !@#!@ marane hotel banayi hai....saala koi aata hi nahi hai aur woh Srinagar pe har din diwali mana rahe hain saale...."
"Arey thik se gin....koi mistake hui lagti hai...inke 17 ghar kaise bun gaye..."
Atlast...we defeated the "Defending Champions" and now we are the reigning Champs.
